You might remember, back in October when we were looking for an apartment in Madrid, I was pretty much all-consumed with the search. And, given the lack of responses or viewing opportunities, I was becoming really frustrated. To try and get me away from the computer and out of my mini-funk, Dave suggested that we take a trip out to Toledo, a town just 30 minutes by rapid train from Madrid.
We decided that one of the best ways to see Toledo was to jump on the hop-on, hop-off bus tour (maybe Dave thought it was a great idea, or maybe he went on it to make me feel better, who knows! Either way, I got to indulge in my not-so-secret, dorky travel love). And, it turned out to be the best decision ever as the trip took us to an un-climbable on foot spot where we had the most amazing view of the city.
We hopped off the tour at the highest point in the city and decided to wander our way down. Unlike Sintra, I wasn’t paralyzed with fear when we went to Toledo so I was actually able to enjoy this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
